Actress Patricia Routledge, renowned for playing Hyacinth Bucket in the classic television comedy the series Keeping Up Appearances, has died at the 96, according to.

Patricia Routledge was primarily recognized as the character Hyacinth Bucket - with the affected pronunciation "bouquet" - a humorous character who represented the extremes of affectation and class consciousness.

She was honored with an Order of the British Empire in 1993, a Commander of the British Empire in 2004, and damehood in 2017.
