England's famous supporters' group, England's supporters' group, have a large group flying out for the concluding fixtures in the SCG and MCG.

There are also travel parties who will be vacationing in Australia, as well as loved ones planning a once-in-a-lifetime trip.

The Ryding Siblings

A group of four supporters are four such fans.

The group had their travel arrangements and match passes booked for the Boxing Day and New Year Tests "well ahead of time", hoping to witness a rare England series success.

Sadly, they've observed Australia dismantle the tourists in just under two weeks from their residence in Penwortham, Lancashire.

"Everyone at work has been giving me grief regarding the concluded contest for the last two weeks," stated Sam Ryding.

"Our expectation had been that we would have a meaningful contest by the time we arrived."

Diminishing Hope

Hope was abundant about England's chances of ending their 15-year wait for a triumph on Australian soil ahead of the tour.

However, the situation is now staring down the barrel of continuing a barren spell in the country to 19 games when the next match starts in Melbourne this week.

Ben Stokes' side - and their supporters - will be desperate to avoid a dreaded 5-0 scoreline.

One sibling noted the "excitement and fun" of head coach the aggressive 'Bazball' approach in recent times had "reinvigorated" the longest format for followers of the team.

But the Ryding siblings said they had minimal hopes for the final two games - and all they are hoping for from the players is "a show of spirit".

"All analysts points it out, but it all hinges on mental resilience. 'This style has been turned into a buzzword now that is just, like, unrealistic play," commented another sibling.

"In a five-day Test match, you should hunker down. Wafting outside 'outside the line has never been in the coaching manuals, and that is largely because of the batting lineup."

The Remaining Matches

Asked whether he believed England will secure a victory in this contest, Sam said: "It appears the Australians are superior right now."

"There is going to have to be multiple performers that makes a significant contribution and makes a big impact."

Despite the scoreline, the fans are excited about the trip.

"It will be a wonderful trip regardless," said Katie. "We have to go with that attitude."

"Of course, it's unfortunate we don't have more to play for, but we have invested a significant amount by now."

"We will make the most of spending the festive season in Australia. It is also a new experience for us away from home during the festive period."

A schoolteacher, Katie is focused on enjoying the lengthy journey as part of her Christmas holidays.

"If all else fails, there's always golf to turn to," she finished.
